Natalie Imbruglia

Natalie Imbruglia began an acting career at the age of 17 years (1985) as Beth Brennan in the Australian soap Neighbours.

She left the show after 2 years to pursue a singing career.
Her first album is entitled: “Left in the Middle”.

 
Natalie has endured melancholic depression since childhood and states that her sisters are diagnosed with it too.

Her worst experience with severe depression was when she was in her 20's which was a time where she was very successful but felt terribly unhappy.

She found herself withdrawing from the world leaving her feeling more and more depressed.

Whilst she has never been on medication she has sought therapy to help her manage her illness.

 Natalie discussed her battle with depression in January 2010 with the Herald Sun.
